Greetings from the Washington State History Museum and Tacoma Art Museum!
Over the years, the Washington State History Museum and Tacoma Art Museum have hosted events highlighting the incredible talent of indigenous artists from our area. This year, we are thrilled to announce the two events will join together to become In The Spirit Northwest Native Festival hosted at both museums.
We are seeking vendors for this inaugural event taking place on Saturday, August 19 from 10am to 4pm. It’s sure to be an incredible festival and arts market with FREE admission at both museums, live performances, and two outstanding exhibitions highlighting contemporary native art.
Attached you will find this year’s vendor application. The fee for participation as a vendor at the festival and arts market is $50 for an indoor booth and $100 for an outdoor space. We will provide two chairs and a 3’x6’ table with linen for all vendors as well as a pre-setup tent for outdoor vendors.
Please submit your vendor applications by this Friday, June 16 at 5pm. Once vendors are accepted and notified on Friday, June 23, the signed contract must be submitted by Friday, July 7 at 5pm.
We are elated to be hosting this joint festival and market in its first year! If you would like to learn more or see images from past festivals, visit www.InTheSpiritArts.org. Please let me know if you have any questions about the vendor application process, the arts market and festival, or the related exhibitions. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing your artwork!
