The Summer Recreation Administrative Program Coordinator reports directly to the Youth Activities Manager and will co-manage the program with the Summer Recreation Activities Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for co-planning daily activities, record keeping (daily attendance, summer rec. permission forms, medical forms, behavior forms, etc.) completing check requests, filing, shopping for supplies, calendar, co-writing weekly newsletter to parents,, co-writing memos to parents and staff, typing newsletters and memos. This position demands thorough working knowledge of the program rules, operating principles and staff responsibilities. This position also demands working knowledge of a computer, fax, copier as well as working knowledge of the following computer software programs; Microsoft Word, Publisher, Outlook, Excel, Power Point. The person will be assigned administration responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Uphold program rules, operating principles and policies and procedures.
Work with Tu Ha’ Buts Learning Center staff to co-develop daily routines, schedules and procedures for program staff and activities. Co-scheduling of daily activities.
Implements, and provides overall support and supervision of daily administrative program tasks. Provide administrative support in the daily a.m. and p.m. meeting of program staff.
Creates and maintains high morale among program staff.
Creates and maintains program participant files that include registration, medical, and permission slip forms.
Maintains daily attendance records, behavior forms, field trip participant lists, and other daily forms.
Co-write and type the weekly newsletter.
Co-supervise the ordering, inventory and storage of all program supplies and equipment, provide administrative support in these duties; check requests, ordering, etc.
Responsible for handing out and receiving all time sheets and pay checks to Summer Recreation Program Staff. May be required to turn in time sheets and pick up pay checks at the HR office.
Encourages respect for staff, personal property, Summer Rec. Equipment and Facilities.
Must support prevention curriculum.
Must be available to attend entire pre-program staff training 6/26 – 6/30. No exceptions.
Must be available to work the entire 7 week Summer Recreation Program including the pre-program staff training 6/26 – 6/30, Summer Recreation 7/3 – 8/18, No exceptions.
Must be available to work a Monday through Friday, schedule per the above listed dates, unless otherwise notified. No exceptions.
There are supervisory responsibilities with this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must have supervisory experience; experience working directly with children ages 5-12; experience planning and implementing activities and curriculum and Master’s Degree OR Bachelors and a minimum of 1 year of experience (see above) OR Associates Degree and a minimum of 3 years experience (see above); OR High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years’ experience. (See above)
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a current Washington State Driver’s License. Must pass WATCH and Tribal Court Background Check (No crimes against people.) Must have CPR/First Aid certification.
