City of Olympia Proclaims October 12 Indigenous Peoples Day

Following a now annual tradition, the Olympia City Council welcomed the Squaxin Island Tribe on the evening of October 6, 2026, as they, again, signed the proclamation of Indigenous Peoples Day for October 12. The city continues to be a supporter of Squaxin heritage, recognizing in it’s proclamation the Steh-Chass band of Squaxin’s history in the Olympia waterway and city boundaries.Â

The factory store will be closed this Tuesday 10/13 and Thursday 10/15
