Mission Statement:
To protect and safeguard the assets of the Squaxin Island Tribe. The Finance Department’s purpose is to provide quality financial services for the community, departments, and funding agencies.
Scope of Work:
To plan, organize, direct, and control the financial activities such as procurement and the utilization of funds for the Tribe. The utilization of funds is governed not only by Federal and State Grantors but by the Tribal Council as well. This allows for efficient and effective long-term viability and sustainability for the Tribe as a whole.
Moss Adams, Certified Public Accountants, conduct our financial statement audits. The audit field work is performed in April. Audited results are available by end of calendar year.
